Pricing Guidelines

Where to begin?

Price your items to sell! Buyers are coming to The Giving Tree events to find deals, and if you price appropriately, the sale will be successful for you (you’ll earn money!) and the buyers (they’ll get great deals!)

We suggest you start your price at 30% of the original price. Items typically should not be priced over 30% unless they are never used or new in the original packaging with tags.
Price items in $1.00 increments.
Review the Pricing Guidelines below to help you. This is only a guide - you are free to price your items less or more than the suggestions.*
You set the price, but remember price your items to sell!

Let things go for HALF-PRICE! It's better to get 50% of your desired price than to get items back you don't need.
If you plan to donate your unsold items, at least let them go for half-price!
Prices should vary according to the brand of your items and the condition they are in. Common brands: GAP, Children's Place, Old Navy, Osh Kosh, Gymboree, etc. Designer/Boutique: Ralph Lauren, Baby Lulu, Baby Nay, Mis Tee V Us, Flapdoodles, Strasburg, Orient Expressed, Matilda Jane, Peaches N Cream, Baby Sara, etc.
